For the past 30 years, Uptown Friday Nights has been a staple event in our Cedar Rapids area and we hope to plan to continue to provide live music in our community this summer and for the years to come - but we can't do this without YOU. ABOUT THE BAND: SUPERKNOT Based out of Cedar Rapids, IA. SuperKnot is an Ozzy era Black Sabbath Tribute band. We love original Black Sabbath and want to share it with the masses! Featuring Pat Geasland (drums), John Reardanz (bass), Rick Clay (guitar), and Justin Rouse (vocals). ABOUT THE BAND: SLAP'N'TICKLE Slap'n'Tickle is a tribute to 80's metal. They play everything from Motley Crue to Whitesnake to Kiss...etc, and also put on the full 80's stage show. They were formed in 2009 in Cedar Rapids Iowa, which is odd because the members are all from Los Angeles and all went to Cedar Rapids on vacation at the same time....? (Something about "there's nothing to do in Iowa but drink" and they heard Iowa girls liked to party.) They came together with one goal in mind... to put on the best show possible. With their bombastic rhythm section, their blazing guitar solos, and their soaring vocals, a Slap'n'Tickle show is something truly to behold.. a party like no other!!!!!
